As you know, our ropes are designed to last a long time.  The only weakness in our products is the clips... from time to time a horse pulls back or steps on a rope and snaps the clip.
To deal with this on our leads we made it so all of the leads had loops and the clips could easily be swapped if broken.

Dealing with the issue on reins was a bit harder, the clips we use on reins are not as bulky and couldn't fit the loop through so we were forced to come up with another idea. We no do a different splice on the reins and reinforce it with stitching (on our industrial sewing machines) so in the unlikely event you do break a clip you can easily replace it.

Having removable clips means you will get a lot more life from your ropes.  They are an investment and you will have them for meany years to come, the only time you will need to buy more is when you need new colours!
